Director of Merchandising
Aflalo is a modern luxury brand rooted in elegance and opulence, seeking a Director of Merchandising to shape the product vision and guide the commercial performance of their collections. This senior role involves defining the assortment, setting line plans, and collaborating with the Founder and design leadership to ensure successful product management across seasons.

Responsibilities
Own seasonal and core line plans across all categories, with explicit revenue, margin, sell-through, and inventory targets by season
Shape the assortment in close partnership with design, balancing brand vision with commercial viability, price-band strategy, and margin discipline
Set pricing architecture, SKU count, and category depth by season
Own sell-through analysis and performance readouts, using insight to inform future decisions and reorders
Guide the product calendar and ensure thoughtful, timely handoffs across design, development, and production
Partner cross-functionally with marketing, operations, and e-commerce to ensure cohesion from product to presentation
Monitor the market and competitive landscape to identify opportunity and maintain relevance
Uphold and refine the brand’s point of view through a cohesive, well-edited assortment
Qualification
Required
7-15 years of merchandising experience with meaningful ownership of line planning and assortment strategy
Strong product instinct and the ability to make confident, informed decisions
Comfort working with data and performance metrics to guide judgment
Thoughtful communicator who works well in close collaboration with creative and operational teams
Highly organized, disciplined, and comfortable operating in a founder-led environment
Preferred
Experience in luxury or high-end contemporary fashion strongly preferred
