In House Maintenance Technician, AM, Industrial Maintenance - Orlando
Publix Pharmacy is seeking In House Maintenance Technicians to join their team at the Orlando Distribution Center. The role involves maintaining and repairing building systems and industrial equipment, interpreting technical manuals, and using a Computerized Maintenance Management System to manage maintenance tasks.

Responsibilities
Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals
Repair and adjust machines or devices
Install new equipment
Perform plumbing, carpentry, welding and cutting
Use a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to generate and process the maintenance repairs performed
Qualification
Required
be at least 20 years old
have a valid driver's license and authorization to drive a company vehicle (on or before his or her start date in the position)
ability to work nights, weekends, holidays, and extended periods of time
ability to lift a minimum of 40 pounds
ability to obtain certification and operate powered industrial equipment
ability to read, write, and solve math problems
ability to stand, stoop, crouch, kneel, lift, reach, push, pull, climb, and crawl
successfully complete the following tests (before his or her start date in the position): Computation, Following Written Directions, Space Visualization, Mechanical Aptitude
ability to interpret, understand, and follow instructions
ability to generate and process work on a computerized maintenance-management system
ability to supply and maintain hand tools to accomplish daily duties
ability to work with little or no supervision
ability to work in a fast-paced environment
strong problem-solving skills
willingness and ability to advance
safe work habits
self-motivated individual
Preferred
current Industrial Maintenance associate
have mechanical and diagnostic knowledge of powered industrial equipment
knowledge of warehouse plumbing
knowledge of ARC, MIG, and GAS welding and cutting
ability to read and interpret blue prints, schematics, and technical manuals
experience in building/industrial maintenance or a related trade
working knowledge of hydraulic systems
carpentry skills
working knowledge of D.C. voltage circuits and operational sequence of components
knowledge of electrical (A.C. and D.C.) theory
