Responsibilities
Develop and maintain actuarial models to support the Medicare Advantage bid process and other Medicare pricing efforts
Perform actuarial research, experience studies, and statistical analyses using Excel, SQL, and SAS
Provide ad-hoc analytic and pricing support for corporate and departmental projects
Communicate effectively with actuarial peers, key internal customers, and direct leadership
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree or advanced degree (where required)
Associate of the Society of Actuaries(ASA) and Member of the American Academy of Actuaries (MAAA)
5+ years of experience in related field
In lieu of an ASA, alternate actuarial credentials may be considered
In lieu of 5 years of experience, may consider candidates who are Fellows of the Society of Actuaries (FSA)
Preferred
3+ years of pricing experience in one or more of the following: MA-PD, PDP, EGWP, MedSupp – Highly Preferred
Strong communication and organization skills
Strong technical, data, and coding skills
Ability to think creatively and strategically, leveraging business knowledge to drive change and mitigate risks
Adaptive and versatile learner, with ability to react quickly to changing business dynamics
