Program Analyst - CAMPUS ONLY RECRUITMENT

Responsibilities
Manages, plans, and administers administrative operations including budgetary financial management, human resources, facilities, student employee services as it relates to payroll assistance, and contracts and grants
Develops and prepares budgets and financial reports for funding within all Risk Services departments
Performs recharge administration
Provides administrative support to Risk Services programs and initiatives including the Occupational Health Program, Healthy Campus Network, WorkStrong, Smoke & Tobacco Free-Environment Policy, COVID-19 programs support, Wellness Program, and various other programs and initiatives
Provides administrative assistance for the Occupational Health Center; including inventory management
Coordinates with the various Risk Service programs to provide administrative support and monthly program reports
Coordinates and participates in a variety of human resources activities including employment, training, and ensuring the completion of forms and documents related to HR and Payroll. Gathers, analyzes, prepares, and summarizes financial and HR related reports
May supervise a small staff of support employees and/or student employees
Serves on internal department committees and campus-wide work groups as applicable, focusing on administrative office support
Assists in the design and drafting of website content; drafts newsletters and correspondence to organizational constituents
Develops and implements procedures for supply inventory and handles purchasing for the department
Administers facilities and space logistics and manages equipment needs, including ergonomics equipment and office equipment. Works with other campus departments to ensure equipment and furniture are appropriately placed
Manages calendaring, travel coordination, and reimbursements. Coordinates and provides support for special events and department-wide events
Supports Risk Services programs with initiatives and programs
Provides support in strategy development for research initiatives
Researches policies and procedures and summarizes best practices in the field
Leads or engages in the research process of special projects and initiatives for Risk Services
Provides support in the analysis of data and systems pertaining to complex projects, policies, initiatives, and processes
Supports outreach efforts; including special events, departmental outreach, and website outreach management
Provides input into non-technical portions of grant and contract proposals
Performs studies for resource plans, including approaches, trends, sources, and uses
May assist with fundraising-related duties
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in related area and / or equivalent experience and / or training
Knowledge of a variety of administrative operational activities such as event planning, basic fundraising processes, website design, accounting and payroll, and contracts or grants regulations and guidelines
Thorough knowledge of financial analysis and reporting techniques, and / or human resources policies and procedures for staff or academic employees
Interpersonal skills including verbal communication, active listening, critical thinking, persuasiveness, advising or counseling skills. Exceptional verbal and interpersonal skills to communicate detailed and complicated information effectively
Excellent written skills to communicate detailed and complicated information effectively
Strong skills in customer service
Extensive administrative skills and experience sufficient to provide support to a department with multiple operations in a changing organization and environment
Strong analysis & problem-solving skills. Demonstrated analytical and problem solving skills to analyze and interpret written material and oral requirements, and to draw conclusions and make recommendations
Ability to perform all commonly applicable functions in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) or Google Suite. Demonstrated experience and competency with standard business computer technologies and a variety of software including system and networking software, e-mail and a variety of web-based programs and browsers
Ability to use discretion and maintain confidentiality
Sound attention to detail including ability to keep accurate detailed records
Ability to independently set and meet deadlines while multi-tasking and assigning precedence to competing priorities. Strong skills in short-term planning
Preferred
Thorough knowledge of University rules and regulations, processes, protocols and procedures for budget, accounting and fund management, and / or personnel management. Solid knowledge of common University-specific computer application programs
