Responsibilities
Manage day-to-day accounting operations including month-end close, accounts payable, general ledger, and payroll
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports (income statements, balance sheets, cash flow statements)
Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis to track spending against projections
Provide financial data and insights for investor relations and fundraising activities
Coordinate tax preparation and compliance, working with external accountants as needed
Collaborate with external auditors during annual audits and ensure compliance with GAAP and company policies
Develop and improve internal financial controls and procedures
Support HR and recruiting functions including payroll administration, onboarding, and candidate coordination
Qualification
Required
2+ years in accounting, finance, or operations roles
Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business or related field
Ability to meet tight deadlines and work independently or as part of a team
Strong analytical skills, accuracy, and attention to detail
Advanced knowledge of Excel
Proficiency in QuickBooks and financial reporting
Comfortable wearing multiple hats in a fast-paced startup environment
Preferred
CPA or CPA candidate
Experience with due diligence processes and fundraising activities
Familiarity with equity compensation and stock option administration
