Responsibilities
Network/firewall troubleshooting, including troubleshooting issues with Checkpoint firewalls and Cisco Routers/Switches
Planning, engineering, and implementing of firewall changes
Collaborating with Enterprise Architects and business partners for network security/firewall changes
Regular attendance of project meetings as a representative of the Firewall Operations team
Maintenance and support of network firewalls. Tasks including regular patching, upgrades, and troubleshooting of firewall hardware
Adherence to changing management process
Technical writing to include documentation of firewall changes and documenting standards
Regular on-call rotation for firewall related issues
Qualification
Required
Recent experience with Checkpoint firewalls (R81.x or higher)
Experience with routing and switching (Cisco)
Experience with VPN setup, implementation, and troubleshooting
Checkpoint firewalls: 1 year (Required)
routing and switching (Cisco): 1 year (Required)
VPN setup, implementation, and troubleshooting: 1 year (Required)
Preferred
Experience with regulatory compliance environments (NERC preferred)
Experience with VPN setup, implementation, and troubleshooting. (Experience with Azure and Amazon VPNs with Checkpoint preferred)
