Responsible for the sales and merchandising of the game of golf

Acts as Cashier assuming responsibility for collection of all fees and sales made in golf shop
Answers telephone and answers questions relating to the golf operation
Takes and assigns tee times as called in by golfers for future dates
Opens or closes clubhouse
Operates, maintains and stocks golf shop
Maintains Golf Shop Inventory and informs management when supplies are low
Enforces the District's rules and regulations of the course, informing players of pertinent information and practices
Establishes proper starting orders; arranges players to the tee and schedules groups in proper order to achieve smooth pace of play
Performs tasks that will require walking, bending, stooping, standing, kneeling, climbing, reaching and sitting
Performs heavy lifting tasks up to 25 pounds
Qualification
Required
Completion of High School Diploma or equivalent
One year of experience in retail, business, or recreation
Must be knowledgeable of the game of golf, handicapping, rules of golf and able to interpret this to the general public
