Responsibilities
Assist with maintenance and repair work on commercial trucks and equipment
Perform inspections, basic diagnostics, and preventative maintenance
Support senior mechanics with repairs as needed
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized shop environment
Order parts and supplies for fleet maintenance and repairs
Communicate with vendors and suppliers on availability, pricing, and delivery
Track parts usage and help maintain inventory levels
Coordinate parts needs with shop staff to minimize vehicle downtime
Shuttle trucks to and from repair shops, vendors, and company locations
Assist with vehicle movements within the yard or between facilities
Support fleet logistics during peak maintenance or repair periods
Assist with recordkeeping related to maintenance and repairs
Communicate clearly with management regarding vehicle status and repair needs
Pitch in where needed to support overall fleet operations
Qualification
Required
Experience in fleet or truck maintenance
Ability to perform inspections, basic diagnostics, and preventative maintenance
Skills in parts coordination and inventory management
Strong communication skills with vendors and suppliers
Ability to maintain a clean, safe, and organized shop environment
Capability to shuttle trucks and assist with vehicle movements
Experience in recordkeeping related to maintenance and repairs
