Mid LevelScalence L.L.C. is looking for a motivated contractor resource to support data access, reporting, and database performance analysis. The role involves hands-on engineering tasks, including optimizing SQL queries and designing alternative information delivery paths, while ensuring alignment with governance and data usage standards.

Responsibilities
Analyze users who do not have MCRM access but are accessing MARS and CORS
Document detailed use cases for current reporting and data access patterns
Design and build alternative information delivery paths using existing tools and data pipelines
Optimize SQL queries to improve performance and reduce system load
Provide direct feedback to users on inefficient query behavior and recommend alternatives and best practices
Develop and present recommendations to migrate non-critical users off the production database and reduce risk while improving overall platform stability
Partner with stakeholders to ensure remediation efforts align with governance and data usage standards
Qualification
Required
Strong hands-on experience with SQL (query optimization, performance tuning)
Proficiency in Python for data analysis, automation, or pipeline support
Experience with database engineering / re-engineering
Ability to analyze complex data access patterns and translate findings into actionable recommendations
Strong documentation skills with the ability to clearly articulate technical findings and use cases
Proven ability to work independently and take ownership of deliverables
Strong work ethic, accountability, and follow-through
Preferred
Experience working in large enterprise or financial services environments
Familiarity with governed data platforms and production database controls
Prior experience supporting reporting platforms or analytics users
Strong communication skills when engaging both technical and non-technical users
