Labor Systems Analyst

The Labor Systems Analyst will gather and analyze store-specific information to customize retail labor standards and assist in maintaining systems supported by the Retail Scheduling and Engineering department.

Responsibilities

Collect, maintain and update store attributes that serve as the foundation for building store specific engineered labor standards
Update and maintain capacity models that guide recommendations for store equipment purchases (such as slicers and friers) and facility enhancements such as expanded freezer/cooler space or dock enclosures
Assist department with troubleshooting and maintaining the labor system, along with developing automated process flows
Perform work measurement studies used to maintain engineered labor standards and support projects

Required

bachelor's degree in an analytical field, such as engineering, accounting, finance, or information systems
at least three years of experience using Microsoft Excel and/or Access for analytical or technical work
intermediate skills with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Access
advanced skills with Microsoft Excel
knowledge of performance report design and interpretation; knowledge of best practices for database design
knowledge of data mining tools and techniques
ability to attend to and verify the accuracy and completeness of detailed information
ability to problem solve, identify, and analyze key information from multiple sources
ability to develop and maintain professional and productive working relationships
ability to express ideas and information clearly, politely, and concisely
ability and willingness to adjust one's style or approach in response to differing circumstances or to work in ambiguous situations
must be at least 20 years old willing to operate a vehicle and have driving record verified

Preferred

master's degree in an analytical field such as engineering, accounting, finance, or information systems
five or more years of experience providing analytical or technical support with a demonstrated ability to perform exceptional process improvement work
five or more years of experience years using Microsoft Excel and Access in a reporting or decision support role
three or more years of experience in Publix corporate distribution, business analysis & reporting, information systems, or process improvement
one or more years of Python development and maintenance
advanced skills with Microsoft Access
expert skills with Microsoft Excel
proficiency with Bluebeam, Microsoft PowerApps, Visual Basic (VBA), SQL and Python computer applications
knowledge of Publix retail operations and processes
ability to apply industrial engineering work measurement and process improvement techniques
