Responsibilities
Design and implement event tracking across our web and mobile surfaces
Build and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines that power analytics and ML
Create clean, well-documented data models for product, growth, and business metrics
Set up data quality monitoring, alerting, and anomaly detection
Manage our data warehouse (BigQuery) and ensure query performance at scale
Partner with analysts and ML engineers to ensure they have the data they need
Ingest and normalize external data sources (civic data, geographic data, third-party APIs)
Qualification
Required
1+ years of experience working with data (industry, internship, or substantial projects)
Strong SQL skills and good data modeling instincts
Experience building data pipelines in Python or TypeScript
Ability to work cross-functionally and translate business questions into data requirements
Clear communication skills for documenting data and metrics
Preferred
Familiarity with modern data stack tools: dbt, Airflow/Dagster, BigQuery/Snowflake
Experience with Firebase/Firestore as a source system
Background in building feature pipelines for ML systems
Experience at a startup or consumer product company
