Internship - Software Bench Top Engineer (Summer 2026)

Responsibilities
Evaluate new HW Functionalities
Debug/Troubleshoot Network Communication Issues
Create ‘Test Strategies’ to ensure appropriate Test Coverage
Ability to Publish and Implement ‘Test Plans’ for Software Module and System Level Test
Ability to Execute ‘Test Cases’ and maintain ‘Test Results’
Assists in generation of ‘Quality Assurance Metrics’; BT, ½ Rack, SCS Availability/Reliability
Analyze ‘Test Results’ and provide ‘Progress Reports’ to engineers and management
Work closely with developers to isolate and understand problems and issues
Collect data on ‘Problems/Issues’ and return findings to the SDev/SInt teams for implementation of root cause solutions
Follows BTTF Development Process
Performs other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Minimum of at least 2 years completed in pursuit of BS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or other related Engineering or Science fields
Previous experience in Building/Debugging SW Test Equipment is a plus
Works and interacts well with others
Able to learn and apply new information or skills
Able to read and interpret data, information, and documents
Able to complete assignments with attention to detail and high degree of accuracy
Proven ability to perform effectively in a demanding environment with changing workloads
Result driven-demonstrate ownership and accountability
Work independently or as part of a team and follow through on assignments with minimal supervision
Demonstrate open, clear, concise and professional communication
Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with co-workers
This position requires access to controlled technology, as defined in the United States Export Administration Regulations (15 C.F.R. 730, et seq.). Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to access such controlled technology prior to beginning work
