Business Development Representative

Medicus Healthcare Solutions is seeking a Business Development Representative responsible for generating new business opportunities within an assigned geographic region. This role involves proactive outbound prospecting and engaging with marketing-qualified leads to build a robust sales pipeline.

Responsibilities

Identify and research prospects across diverse hospital specialties and buying personas. Build rapport through multi-channel outreach (cold calls, email social, and mail campaigns). Understand decision making processes, existing relationships, and organizational structure
Schedule meetings for Business Development Executives (BDEs) with qualified prospects
Work closely with marketing and sales teams to optimize messaging and execute multi-touch campaigns.  Participate in client calls, presentations, and proposal processes
Engage marketing-qualified leads promptly to confirm interest, assess needs, and route qualified opportunities to the sales team
Maintain accurate records of outreach, conversations, and next steps in Salesforce or similar CRM
Meet or exceed KPIs for calls, emails, lead conversion rate, meetings booked, and pipeline contribution

Required

0–1 year of sales experience (entry-level candidates welcome), and an interest in growing your career within a fast-paced, collaborative environment
Positive and energetic ‘can do' attitude

Highly coachable, organized, and goal oriented
Comfortable with high-volume outreach and handling rejection

Preferred

Previous experience in sales or healthcare staffing is a plus but not required
