Responsibilities

Collaborates with management and stakeholders and keeps them informed on all issues affecting project timeline and budget
Manages change orders. Ensures they are completed accurately and tracked as required. Expedites material as needed. Estimates the impact of project changes
Provides interpretation of plans and specifications
Assembles complete submittal packages and other required project documentation information
Procures equipment and materials and services; and participates in selection and hiring of subcontractors
Analyzes and resolves more complex questions and problems as needed
Independently perform assignments with instruction only regarding general expected results
Receives technical guidance for unusual or complex problems and supervisory approval of proposed project plans

Required

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or equivalent education, training and experience
Minimum 3 years' experience
In-depth knowledge of applicable systems design, such as HVAC, plumbing, etc., as well as general understanding of system operations
Ability to read mechanical and plumbing plans
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Strong computer skills, including CADD and Microsoft Office, such as Excel
While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear
The employee is frequently required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms
While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is required to sit 2/3rds of the time; use hands to finger 2/3rds of the time; walk 1/3rd of the time; stand 1/3rd of the time; reach with hands and arms 2/3rds of the time; stoop, kneel, crouch 1/3rd of the time; talk or hear 2/3rds of the time
Ability to work at a computer terminal with mouse and keyboard for several hours per day
Ability to visit job construction areas and climb stairs, maneuver in and around pipe work and air ducts and work safely in close proximity to construction materials and equipment
