Manufacturing Engineer
Turion Space is building spacecraft to secure Earth and expand humanity’s reach beyond it. The Manufacturing Engineer will design, implement, and improve manufacturing processes to enhance efficiency, quality, and safety while collaborating with cross-functional teams to solve production issues and drive continuous improvement.

Responsibilities
Process Design: Develop and implement manufacturing processes and procedures, utilizing best industry practices, to optimize production efficiency and product quality. Design and specify manufacturing equipment and tooling
Troubleshooting: Provide technical support to resolve production issues, including equipment malfunctions, process deviations, and quality problems
Documentation: Prepare and maintain detailed documentation of manufacturing processes, procedures, and changes. Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations
Collaboration: Work closely with design engineers, production teams, and suppliers to ensure seamless integration of new products and processes. Facilitate communication and coordination between teams
Project Management: Manage manufacturing projects, including the implementation of new processes, technologies, and production lines
Quality Assurance: Develop and enforce quality control standards to ensure that products meet or exceed specifications. Conduct root cause analysis and drive corrective actions for quality issues
Training and Development: Contribute to training documentation. Promote a culture of continuous learning and improvement within the team
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a related field
4+ years Manufacturing Engineering experience in aerospace, or other complex, high-tech industry
Experience in manufacturing software and tools (e.g., CAD, MRP, PLM, MES systems)
Knowledge of manufacturing processes, quality control, and equipment management
Solid analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to address production challenges and implement effective solutions
Good verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and clearly present technical information
High level of accuracy and attention to detail in manufacturing processes and documentation
Must be able to obtain a Secret and/or a TS/SCI clearance
This position may include access to technology and/or software source code that is subject to U.S. export controls
Preferred
Master's Degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field
Experience with satellite assembly, integration, and testing
Proficiency in advanced manufacturing techniques, process optimization, and technology integration
Relevant certifications in manufacturing or quality management (e.g., Six Sigma Green Belt, Lean Manufacturing) are a plus
Ability to drive innovation and continuous improvement in manufacturing processes and systems
