The Tissue Culture Technician I will support the cultivation of cannabis plants in an aseptic environment, focusing on micropropagation methodologies and maintaining a clean lab environment.

Responsibilities

Support and assist in aseptic micropropagation methodologies for mass-scale clone production

Collect nodal stem samples for use in micropropagation and tissue culture research of cannabis

Record data in laboratory notebook and/or Excel

Operation of laboratory equipment in a safe manner

Assure cleanliness and organization of glassware, plasticware, and other supplies as needed

Assure the cleanliness of the lab environment

Maintain an organized work environment

Ability to execute techniques consistently

Properly document all applicable activities in accordance with standards set by the State and the company

Learn new laboratory techniques and use new equipment with instruction

Support other Applied Science activities

Required

Previous experience working with plants or in a lab environment

Ability to safely use sharp instruments

Willingness to work in tight spaces and loud environments

Ability to use sterile techniques

High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)

Must be 21 years old

Compliance with State of Maryland requirements, including providing a copy of fingerprints and consenting to an FBI Background Check
