They are seeking an Allen Bradley PLC / HMI Programmer responsible for programming automation and controls systems, interfacing with customers, and managing various projects in an oil and gas setting.

Responsibilities

Programming automation and controls systems involving PLC's, HMI's and RTU's in an oil and gas field or plant setting
Interfacing and communicating with customers on project work
Working with customers to identify desired automation and controls functionality and then deliver such programming
Designing, planning, managing, installing, performing start-up, commissioning and related documentation of such automation and control systems
Instrumentation calibrations
Loop tuning
Troubleshooting
Communication installations
SCADA integration
Working closely with the Engineering Manager and other senior engineering personnel to complete design work to specifications

Required

PLC programming (Allen Bradley, RSLogix 500, 5000)
Experience with Allen Bradley Servo Control and VFD Drives
HMI programming (PanelView, PanelView Plus and RSView)
At least two-years' experience in an Oil & Gas environment
Must be willing to enthusiastically engage in assignments and take ownership in the work that is performed
Work closely with the Engineering Manager and other senior engineering personnel to complete design work to specifications
Work in Wonderware and able to program MicroLogix & Compact Logix PLC without difficulty
At least 5 years' experience programming PLC's / HMI's / RTU's
Previous experience managing projects required

Preferred

Experience in O&G field automation, instrumentation, process controls, or field engineering preferred
A two-year associates degree in Industrial Electrical, Instrumentation, or Process Controls is also preferred
