Responsibilities

Works in conjunction with each practice in the region or service line to drive a performance-based culture, ensure the skill sets necessary to achieve the highest level of patient care and satisfaction
Provides business consultation and advice on practice improvement to the practices in the region
Provides the linkage between area practices and Community Hospitals
In partnership with the Regional Medical Director supports the practice's implementation of work plans that support the priorities of the CPN
As a member of CPN Leadership Team with shared accountability for overall network strategy and success, links group practice initiatives to the individual MD practices in clinical, service and financial matters
The Director will support Anesthesia, General Surgery, Baratrics/Medical Weight Loss and ENT product lines throughout all Community Health Network service regions
Manages all human resources issues for direct reports (mostly practice leadership) including staffing, hiring, firing, recognition, retention, discipline, coaching, providing regular and timely performance reviews, creating improvement plans as needed, translates strategy to tactical work and helps practice managers understand performance outcomes needed to meet overall goals and provide high levels of access and delivery of strong customer service
Holds regular management meetings to keep communication open, strategize, educate and discuss market dynamics, impact on current and future practices and organizational requirements and strategies to address them
In conjunction with the RMD implements the organization’s vision and strategic plan and helps translate it into tactical actions to achieve success and help drive a performance-based culture
Ensures policy and other compliance across region and implements operational consistencies, when possible, across region
Assists practice with setting direction, developing initiatives to accomplish corporate, physician and group goals and hold them accountable by monitoring
Accountable for developing strong business relationships with other team members, providing direction and education on solutions/offerings representing their market
Fosters professional development of personnel within the region by providing role modeling, coaching, education and training and mentoring opportunities
Demonstrates/supports network values including physician involvement, exceptional patient, employee and physician experience, providing high quality health care, and fostering long-term doctor/patient relationships
Establishes and maintains an effective region, through monitoring of performance indicators, on site reviews, partnering with administrative support staff providing input and developing process improvement plans for staffing, resource allocation, long and short-range initiatives that are in alignment with the regional strategic plans and coordinate the work of each site to ensure effective use of services
Participates in MD recruitment and selection, provides overviews of practice site operations, systems of care and group initiatives; participates in developing and negotiating physician contracts
Assist with regional orientation and onboarding of new MDs as well as communicating productivity targets and quality measures
Works with Practice Administrator, Practice Managers and Site Manager and physicians to ensure that Exceptional Patient and Family Experience standards are established and met
Assists in developing plans and programs designed to assure sites achieve the highest levels of quality care, service and access

Required

4 year / Bachelor's Degree : BS/BA (Required)
Certifications/Licensures: Current Indiana Driver's License with valid vehicle insurance (Required)
5+ years: Minimum 5 years of high level, practice management experience in a multi-site, multi-specialty, ambulatory health care setting, managing a highly diverse team of clinical and non-clinical professionals. Large group experience would be preferred. Demonstrated experience effectively managing physician relationships, performing Service Level Management in operations. Financial management expertise to formulate and monitor budget, revenue growth, etc. Familiarity with various applications relevant to practice management, clinical technology (EMR and Data Portal), and financial applications. Demonstrated knowledge of healthcare and practice related issues, solutions, and trends. Experience with managing a high-performance environment, requiring high availability within a high-pressure environment. Proven ability to execute pro-active decisions using sound business judgment (Required)

Preferred

Master's Degree : MSN, MBA or MHA strongly preferred (Preferred)
Large group experience would be preferred
