The intern will gain hands-on experience in local government, transportation planning, data analysis, and community engagement while supporting MPO staff on various projects.

Responsibilities
Assist with data entry, file organization, and document preparation
Support transportation-related studies, projects, and reports
Help staff with public outreach activities, including community events, surveys, and presentations
Conduct basic research and compile information for MPO projects
Assist in creating maps, graphics, or simple charts to support reports and presentations
Perform general office support tasks as assigned
Qualification
Required
Current high school student or high school diploma/ GED – Must be 16 years or older
A short cover letter describing your interest in the internship attached to your application
Must possess a valid AZ driver's license
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Basic computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint; willingness to learn other software)
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work in a small team environment with minimal supervision
Ability to work independently, be self-motivated and produce a high quality work
Reliable and punctual
Establish and maintain effective working relationships with other agencies and the public
