Diaz Anselmo & Associates P.A. is a certified minority-owned law firm specializing in representing creditors, investors, and servicers nationwide. The Legal Assistant will prepare and submit bankruptcy pleadings, manage case files, and ensure compliance with client and court requirements.

Responsibilities
Prepare and submit bankruptcy pleadings, notices, and letters for attorney and client review. This includes documents such as Motions for Relief, Proofs of Claim, Objections to Plan, Reaffirmation Agreements, Transfer of Claims, NOPC and Notice of Default referrals
Review foreclosure files to determine appropriate chain of title and proceed with correction methods if needed
Adjust pleadings according to attorney and client revision requests
Process court results by updating the case management system and client systems
Update client systems, including ICE, Tempo, ADR, as applicable
Electronically file bankruptcy pleadings
Review and handle ECF (Electronic Case Filing) notifications, forwarding emails to attorneys as needed
Schedule attorneys or Co-Counsel to appear at hearings when necessary
Notify clients of new bankruptcy filings and bankruptcy dismissals
Monitor bankruptcy files to ensure compliance with client and court requirements
Request fee approvals for bankruptcy files
Qualification
Required
Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in data entry
Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and handle a high volume of cases efficiently
Strong organizational skills with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
Clear and effective communication skills (both written and verbal)
A commitment to meeting deadlines and maintaining a high standard of quality
Capacity to follow structured processes and detailed instructions with consistency
Solid problem-solving abilities and sound judgment
A team-oriented mindset and a willingness contribute to shared goals
Preferred
Previous law firm or foreclosure experience is a plus, but we're happy to train the right candidate
