Landfill Equipment Technician

Larimer County is seeking a hardworking and motivated Equipment Maintenance Technician to become a key part of our Fleet team at the Larimer County Landfill. In this role, you will be responsible for repairs, inspections, and maintenance of light, medium, and heavy fleet vehicles and equipment.

Responsibilities

Works safely in all weather conditions
Performing high-quality PM and DOT inspections
Diagnosing, troubleshooting, and repairing heavy equipment, semi tractors, walking floor trailers, support, and maintenance equipment
Performs preventative maintenance services on all equipment
Strictly adhere to established safety guidelines and protocols

Required

Must be at least 18 years of age
Two (2) years of experience in a directly related field or in the performance of similar duties and responsibilities or certification in auto or diesel technology from an accredited program
Possession of a valid Driver's License by date of hire required
Possession of, and ability to maintain, a Class 'B' CDL at the discretion of the Fleet Director, depending upon necessity and position, required
