Responsibilities

Oversight and reporting responsibilities for the Bank’s Security Program to ensure physical security procedures and loss control measures are appropriate to protect branch employees, customers, and bank premises
Determine the need for and arrange the procurement and installation of security devices, equipment, or services
Monitor to assure all protective devices are in optimal condition
Streamline and automate manual processes, digitize paper-based forms, and eliminate operational redundancies to improve efficiency and accuracy
Emergency contact for keys, combinations, breach of security events, etc
Coordinate bank robbery investigations with pertinent law enforcement agencies
Investigate employee embezzlement or other criminal acts
Conduct investigation in cases involving substantial loss caused by fraud
Prepare documents and reports for presentations at Board of Director and management meetings
Maintain Bank Policy and Procedure Manual current in relation to topics relating to security
Author and implement operations policies and procedures appropriate to areas of responsibility
Provide information and training to Bank personnel relating to Security
Maintains a current understanding of Bank policies and procedures in compliance with all federal and state laws, including but not limited to Bank Secrecy Act (SARs, CIP, OFAC), Information Security (GLBA), Identity Theft Red Flags, Financial Elder Abuse Reporting, and any other applicable regulations that may be specific to your job duties
Monitor Security Device Maintenance Reports for training of employees and testing of security equipment
Develop and maintain effective and positive relationships with management and stakeholders
Review, comprehend and maintain a current knowledge of the laws and regulations governing assigned area of responsibility
Ensure complete and accurate logs, files and records are maintained according to established procedures
Maintain confidentiality regarding all customer and employee information
Work on special projects as needed
Perform other duties as assigned

Required

Five years of related experience
Excellent ability to communicate orally and in writing to all levels of the Bank and regulatory organizations; to communicate effectively and project a professional image when giving and taking information in writing, in person or over the telephone
Effective interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with individuals and groups at all organizational levels
Leadership ability to provide guidance, coaching and training to staff and to other bank employees
Ability to take initiative and prioritize tasks, good time-management, problem prevention and problem solving skills
Ability to utilize personal computers, Windows programs, and programs necessary to monitor Bank security equipment
