Responsibilities
Perform daily bank reconciliations
Prepare and post manual journal entries and account reclassifications (approximately 20 during month-end)
Review and maintain General Ledger accounts
Complete monthly, quarterly, and annual state sales and use tax filings
Perform balance sheet reconciliations and analysis
Support and execute a structured month-end close process
Follow strict close timelines
Prepare preliminary financial reports by Day 3, including:
Balance Sheet
Profit & Loss (P&L)
Gross Margin
Budget vs. Actual analysis
Ensure accuracy, consistency, and audit readiness of financial data
Identify opportunities to improve existing accounting processes and controls
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, highly preferred
5 + years of general accounting experience
Extensive experience working within the General Ledger
Strong month-end close abilities (Short closing of a few days, preferred)
Advanced Excel skills
Pivot tables
VLOOKUPs
Ability to clean, manipulate, and analyze data
Experience preparing journal entries, reconciliations, and financial analysis
Ability to work independently, manage deadlines, and adhere to close calendars
Preferred
Manufacturing and/or inventory accounting experience
Experience in a publicly traded company
Exposure to Dynamics 365 (nice to have, not required)
Process improvement mindset and attention to detail
