Responsibilities
Provide customer service to tenants, guests, and staff by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities
Conduct regular and random foot patrols throughout the shopping center, common areas, and exterior perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and/or policy violations
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including providing direction to guests and notifying site leadership and/or emergency services as needed
Monitor entrances, loading areas, and other key points for unauthorized access, suspicious behavior, and/or operational concerns, escalating issues per post orders
Complete patrol logs, incident reports, and other required documentation, and communicate observations to on-site personnel and/or Allied Universal management
Qualification
Required
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment
A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only
Preferred
Be comfortable using a computer or tablet
Hold a CPR certification, which may be completed post hire
Have a guard card/license
Have customer service experience
Be able to lift up to 20 lbs
