Responsibilities
Post all transactions related to expenses into the designated accounting software
Assist with cash forecasting and reporting to ensure proper liquidity and cash management for operations and investments
Process invoices, track expenses, and ensure proper coding for accurate financial reporting
Process and reconcile all contractor payment applications ensuring conditional and unconditional lien release compliance
Prepare and submit for approval all bank draws for construction projects
Support the tax reporting process by preparing necessary schedules and documents for tax filings, as requested
Track and report on financial performance metrics for portfolio companies
Help maintain and enforce internal financial controls, ensuring accuracy and compliance with firm policies and regulatory requirements
Assist in the preparation of financial documentation for regulatory filings, audits, and due diligence processes
Provide general administrative support to the development team, including organizing documentation and report preparation
Assist with ad-hoc financial analysis and project work as required
Qualification
Required
2+ years of bookkeeping or similar AP/AR experience
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, NetSuite, or similar) and familiarity with Microsoft Excel and financial modeling tools
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting
Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
Preferred
An Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred
Construction experience helpful
