Responsibilities
Gain firsthand experience in how water utilities support communities and ensure sustainability
Collaborate with professionals to assist with environmental management and water quality activities for assigned facilities, ensuring compliance with all water quality and environmental regulations
Assist staff with school sampling in accordance to Indiana Finance Authority and LCRI compliance standards
Perform in home inspections to identify service line materials upon customer request
Perform inspections identifying service line materials where contractors have done planned potholing projects
Assist water quality staff with customer communication, Tier validations, and sampling associated with Lead and Copper Compliance monitoring
Update systems of record as needed
Assist operations staff in water and wastewater facilities with routine production activities, including data collection and evaluation
Qualification
Required
Enrollment in an Environmental Science or Science undergraduate degree program from an accredited school
Minimum of 2 years of completed coursework
Valid Driver's License
Ability to pass a background check
Detail-Oriented: Conduct thorough analyses and evaluations and implement timely decisions and recommendations
Independent Worker: Manage time across multiple projects and deadlines
Collaborative: Seek input and coordinate with staff
Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills
Technical Proficiency: Good working knowledge of computer programs, databases, and software
Organizational Skills: Demonstrated organizational and administrative abilities
Analytical Skills: Good analytical and problem-solving skills
