Responsibilities
Designs, develops, and deploys production-grade AI/ML systems that meet performance and scalability requirements
Leads AI/ML project workstreams independently, coordinating with stakeholders across Product, Data, and Infrastructure teams
Serves as an internal consultant to other engineering teams, helping them identify and implement AI solutions in their domains
Mentors and coaches other engineers and cross-functional peers, reviewing code, sharing best practices, and promoting technical growth
Translates business requirements into robust, well-architected AI software solutions using sound engineering principles
Optimizes models and systems for scalability, reliability, and performance in production environments
Contributes to the design and evolution of internal AI platforms and tooling, improving development workflows and deployment efficiency
Stays up to date with cutting-edge research and industry trends in AI/ML, and assess their potential application to real-world use cases
Qualification
Required
Ability and desire to learn new technology quickly and effectively
Proficiency in Python and experience with ML frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or JAX
Strong understanding of machine learning algorithms, data structures, and software design principles
Experience deploying models in production using cloud platforms (AWS preferred, Azure)
Familiarity with MLOps practices, including model versioning, monitoring, and CI/CD pipelines
Experience with large-scale data processing (e.g., Spark, Kafka, or Ray)
Knowledge of deep learning, NLP, or generative AI
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field required
4 years of experience in software engineering, including 2 years in AI/ML required
