RECRUITER SIS

Everett Ship Repair is seeking an experienced, high-volume Recruiter to join their Human Resources team. This role is responsible for full-cycle recruiting to support skilled marine trade hiring for Nichols Brothers Boat Builders and Everett Ship Repair, requiring hands-on sourcing, screening, interviewing, and candidate management in a fast-paced shipyard environment.

Responsibilities

Partner with Human Resources, hiring managers, and supervisors to identify current and future staffing needs
Manage high-volume requisitions across multiple marine and industrial trade disciplines
Maintain accurate, real-time data within the Applicant Tracking System (ATS), ensuring daily and hourly updates as needed
Develop and post job advertisements using targeted recruiting strategies, including specialty job boards, trade associations, schools, social media platforms, and other creative sourcing channels
Proactively source candidates through online research, databases, social media, referrals, outreach campaigns, phone screening, and local community resources
Participate in job fairs, military transition events, educational campus recruiting, and other networking or outreach activities
Review applications and resumes to assess qualifications and skill levels; conduct phone screens and in-person interviews; and present qualified candidates to hiring managers
Coordinate pre-employment requirements with Human Resources, including background checks and other testing as required
Prepare and present periodic recruitment reports addressing hiring status, sourcing effectiveness, employment trends, candidate flow, and recommendations for building a pipeline of future talent

Required

Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Organizational Management, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience will be considered in lieu of a degree
3-5 years of recruiting experience in a fast-paced, high-volume environment; maritime, shipbuilding, construction, or industrial recruiting experience strongly preferred
Proven ability to engage both candidates and internal stakeholders with professionalism and enthusiasm
Highly responsive, energetic, and goal-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability and willingness to travel to South Whidbey Island, Snohomish County, and neighboring counties for recruiting activities and job fairs
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong interpersonal skills with exceptional organization and attention to detail
Experience using a variety of recruiting tools and platforms, including LinkedIn, Indeed, and HRIS/ATS systems
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams

Preferred

Demonstrated success recruiting skilled labor crafts, including but not limited to marine carpenters/joiners, welders, pipefitters, plumbers, HVAC, sheet metal workers, electricians, painters, and light structural fitters
Direct experience recruiting construction craft labor in a shipyard or heavy industrial environment
Bilingual (English/Spanish), with the ability to conduct basic conversations with Spanish-speaking candidates
Working knowledge of shipyard and marine trades, including welding processes, steel fabrication, pipe work, electrical, or painting trades
