Responsibilities
Work hands-on with TDM switches
Manually manipulate switches (this is where candidates were missing experience)
Execute partial shut-downs of legacy infrastructure
Upgrade or reconfigure switches where needed
Support phased turn-downs across different parts of the network
Ensure nothing breaks for customers still active on legacy tech
Qualification
Required
Experience with TDM Switches
Knowledge of legacy Class 5 switches (e.g., TDM-5E)
Ability to shut down and upgrade switches
Familiarity with legacy copper-based infrastructure
Unix experience
NOC or Tier 3 experience, specifically voice/switch-focused
Deep operational troubleshooting background
Experience in decommissioning, not just migrations
