American Water is seeking a Water Quality Intern to assist staff with service line material record research in support of the lead and galvanized service replacement project. The intern will be responsible for collecting water quality samples, performing wet chemistry analyses, and assisting in report preparation.

Responsibilities

Implement the day-to-day collection of water quality samples
Prepare samples for UPS shipment to laboratory
Perform wet chemistry analyses such as Hardness, Alkalinity, Turbidity and Flow Cam
Conduct & monitor lead and copper sampling
Assist in report preparation and lead and copper results to customer
Assist in day-to-day operation and maintenance of laboratory
