The Area Sales Manager will be responsible for the performance and productivity of their assigned sales team in the Los Angeles, San Diego, Orange County, and Phoenix, AZ market, developing sales strategies and coordinating local sales efforts with corporate initiatives.

Lead the sales functions of the assigned region
Monitor productivity of teams against company goals
Drive team to achieve sales goals
Identify new market opportunities for sales team to enter
Coordinate local sales strategy with corporate sales initiatives
Provide reports for management team based on performance of sales team
Mentor and develop associate with new sales techniques
Other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree preferred and/or minimum of 5 years of experience leading a sales team
Proven track record of driving teams to sales targets and goals
Ability to work with cross-functional teams to achieve company goals
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Frequent sitting, twisting, bending
Frequent travel to customers
Ability to operate a computer
Preferred
Experience in distribution industry preferred
