Responsibilities
Lead the technical unification of Splunk's UI frameworks, experience models, and application deployment mechanisms into a consistent architecture that simplifies the product and accelerates customer adoption
Design reference implementations and standards that provide engineering teams consistent patterns for building experiences—enabling innovation on features rather than foundational concerns—while establishing forward-looking architectural direction that scales across the company
Create architectural patterns in close collaboration with the Design organization that expand the platform's addressable audience, increasing participation and accelerating value realization for customers and partners
Drive consistency across multiple product organizations while maintaining autonomy, with success measured by feature delivery using new frameworks and reduced time-to-value for engineers and customers
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's in Computer Science (or equivalent) with 15+ years of related experience; or Master's with 12+ years; or PhD with 8+ years or equivalent experience
Production experience architecting large-scale React applications
Architected plugin-based or modular UI systems enabling multiple teams across an organization to independently extend user experiences while maintaining consistency through shared frameworks and abstractions
Led technical modernization or migration of UI systems in production environments across engineering organizations of 50+ engineers
Delivered customer-facing UI products or platforms serving diverse user personas at enterprise or commercial scale
Preferred
Experience leading technical initiatives with teams in disparate geographies, time zones, and remote work environments
Hands-on experience with a wide range of UI frameworks, design systems, and front-end technologies
Strong leadership in cross-functional collaboration across design, product management, and engineering organizations
Proven track record mentoring and growing engineers
