HR Assistant
Boston Senior Home Care is seeking an HR Assistant to provide exceptional human resources services across various agency divisions and departments. The HR Assistant will support the HR team in resolving employee inquiries, managing benefits, and ensuring compliance with employment laws and company policies.

Responsibilities
Works closely with the Associate HR Director in the management of benefits and employee relations activities
Assists with the delivery of training and development activities
Assists with responding to employee benefits, vendors and agency inquiries
Communicates with employees about resolving issues that relate to the employment experience
Serves as first point of contact for HR inquiries within assigned region(s), responsible for answering form related requests and policy and procedural questions
Coordinates with the Associate HR Director on benefits eligibility for staff members
Utilizes the HRIS systems to support management of workforce
Maintains ongoing communication with field staff matters related to management of time and attendance
Help support all types of leaves (FMLA, PFML, ADA, etc.)
Assists the Associate HR Director with the administration of Unemployment and Worker's Compensation claims
Enters new, updates, and maintains HR reporting systems to ensure accuracy and data integrity
Create spreadsheets, generation/creation of reports and forms. Utilizes HR reporting system in developing, preparing and distributing routine HR reports
Review employment documentation, pre-employment checks, I-9's, for compliance and communicate correction requests to Associate HR Director and appropriate employees as required
Conducts new hire orientation, assists with onboarding and Agency trainings
Coordinates HR team calendars, book appointments, and tracks materials for various training programs, acquisitions and other initiatives
Provides administrative support to the CHRO, Associate HR Director and Office Resources Supervisor
Assists in the maintenance of Agency mailroom and coordination with shipping and receiving orders
Provides coverage of internal switchboard system, as needed
Assists with distribution of company-wide HR correspondence as needed
Performs other related duties as assigned or requested
Qualification
Required
Associates degree in Human Resources, Business or related field
Strong communication, verbal and written, as well as strong relationship building skills
Exceptional problem-solving and expert decision-making skills
Must possess excellent organizational skills and must be detailed oriented
Comfortable working with a professional and diverse employee population
Ability to work with and maintain sensitive and confidential information
Excellent customer service skills, ability to actively contribute as a team player
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of accuracy with superior attention to detail
Flexibility and ability to prioritize while alternating between tasks
Adaptability and willingness to consistently learn new skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other related computer applications
Preferred
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business or related field
Experience with HRIS systems
