The Transmission Work Planner will patrol for hazard trees, perform identification and inspection of trees and brush along utility lines, and coordinate activities of tree clearance crews.

Responsibilities
Patrol for hazard trees, perform identification, inspection, and evaluation of trees and brush along utility lines
Assist in submitting inspection results to clients with recommendations
Plan, direct, and coordinate the activities of assigned tree clearance crews
Discuss and negotiate line-clearance crew access issues
Serve as a liaison between clients, tree crews, and client customers
Qualification
Required
Must be 21 years of age or older
A 2 or 4-year degree in Arboriculture, Forestry, Biology, Environmental studies or related field OR in lieu of a degree, a high school diploma plus 2 years of experience in Utility Vegetation Management or other related field (Ex. general Right-of-Way management, Integrated Vegetation Management, nursery work or timber cutting, etc.)
3 years relevant experience (forestry, construction, project management, environmental) preferred
Experience with Landscaping, Horticulture, Environmental Science, Vegetation Management, Arboriculture, and/or utility vegetation management operations preferred
Ability to identify local trees and knowledge of growth rates desired
Ability to work independently, strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work in rugged terrain and inclement weather
Ability to read and follow maps
Strong communication skills and abilities to work within a team setting
Must be self-driven to independently manage assigned projects
Valid Driver License and ability to drive and operate a 4x4 vehicle
Proficient use in Microsoft Office Programs
Preferred
3 years relevant experience (forestry, construction, project management, environmental)
Experience with Landscaping, Horticulture, Environmental Science, Vegetation Management, Arboriculture, and/or utility vegetation management operations
