Responsibilities
Prepare for and conduct regular (typically monthly) check-in meetings with Project Managers to plan revenue and invoices
Develop and distribute customized reports and dashboards for Project Managers and company leadership to support revenue forecasting, project planning, team member utilization, accounts receivable, and more
Identify and implement process improvements for project financial management and reporting, including margin analysis. The Senior Business Analyst is responsible for flagging projects which are over budget and working with project managers to resolve
Interface with internal accounting staff to support any company wide tracking of project financials
Professional Service Automation (PSA) Administration: Serving as a co-owner of Altura’s PSA platform and optimizing the system architecture to align with evolving business needs. This involves setting up projects, managing assignments, assisting with invoicing, timesheet and period management, and following up on aging AR
PSA Champion: Leadership throughout the organization to improve the use, understanding, and efficiency of managing projects, invoicing, and time tracking within our PSA software. Includes regular training for new employees and periodic team-wide best practices training
Partner with leadership to analyze project and company-level financial performance to improve profitability and forecasting
Prepare invoices and supporting documentation in partnership with project managers and project coordinators, including maintaining invoice requirements for various clients
Leading cross-collaboration with project coordinators to align operational workflows and optimize best practices
Engage with and optimize Accounts Payable process (Coupa software)
Qualification
Required
3-5 years of professional experience working in a finance, accounting, or operations role
Experience generating financial reporting and analysis in an AEC or similar professional services company
Strong familiarity with Salesforce is required
Bachelor's or Graduate degree in business, finance, or operations management
Exemplary attention-to detail and problem-solving skills
Strong professional communication skills for interfacing with internal and external clients
Effective working in a collaborative team environment
Ambitious, positive, self-starting, problem solving
Preferred
Experience with Kantata (formerly known as Mavenlink/Kimble) - a cloud-based Professional Services Automation (PSA) software platform built within the Salesforce environment
Experience using data visualization tools such as Power BI/Tableau
Experience in B2B software-as-a-service business models
