Responsibilities
Provide customer service to drivers, visitors, and employees by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location
Control access at vehicle and pedestrian entry points by checking identification, verifying appointments and/or shipping documentation, issuing visitor credentials, and directing traffic to designated areas
Monitor and document inbound and outbound activity, including trailer movements and package processing areas as assigned, completing logs and reports according to post orders
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying site contacts and/or emergency services per established protocols
Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility, loading docks, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity; working environments and conditions may vary by location
Qualification
Required
Have a minimum of 2 or more years of security experience
Be at least 21 years of age
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment
A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only
Preferred
X-Ray screening experience is preferred
Customer service experience is preferred
