Life Coach

MERS Missouri Goodwill Industries is looking for an energetic and self-motivated Life Coach to join their St Louis Excel Center team. The ideal candidate will support the mission of changing lives through the power of work and will be responsible for assessing student needs, managing a case load, and monitoring student success.

Responsibilities

Participate in recruiting and enrollment activities and events
Assess student needs for, and barriers to, successful completion of the program
Schedule students into classes aligned to their academic assessments, availability, transferred credits, and career goals
Manage a case load of 80-120 students by building strong rapport, maintaining professional boundaries, collaborating with community partners, and creating a positive school culture
Maintain detailed, comprehensive records of all meetings, strategies, and identified barriers
Monitor attendance and grades in collaboration with teachers to support student success
Intervene and manage occasional student crises, altercations, and behaviors, including identifying appropriate resources and community social programs
Other duties as assigned

Qualification

Bachelor's DegreeCommunication SkillsExperience in related fieldEducational requirementsComputer Literacy

Required

Bachelor's Degree from an accredited Educational Institution in one of the following areas: Health Science, Clinical Research, Health Care, Corporate Wellness, Psychology, Sociology, Education, or Social Services
Must be able to work with a diverse group of students, staff, and co-workers between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 9:00 p.m
One or more years experience in a related field
Must have strong verbal and written communication skills as well as computer literacy
Valid driver's license, current auto insurance, and independent transportation required

Preferred

Two years experience in a related field
Knowledge of Missouri educational requirements to receive a high school diploma
Experience writing clinical notes
