The Lewis Group of Companies is one of the nation’s largest privately held real estate development firms. They are seeking an Accounting Clerk to join their Fixed Assets team, responsible for recording costs of fixed assets, preparing journal entries, and reconciling the general ledger.

Responsibilities

Record the cost of fixed assets that have been newly acquired
Prepare fixed asset journal entries
Track existing fixed assets for assigned properties
Dispose of fixed assets
Monthly reconciliation of general ledger to fixed asset system
Partner with properties on capital improvement projects

Qualification

MS ExcelAccounting experienceProperty management experienceTask prioritizationAttention to accuracySelf-starter work ethic

Required

Intermediate to advanced knowledge of MS Excel
1-2 years of accounting experience
The ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment with the ability to meet deadlines
A keen eye for accuracy while dealing with multiple tasks
Having a self-starter work ethic

Preferred

Any background in the property management or real estate industries is a plus
