Responsibilities
Interpret blueprints/job orders to determine dimensions, tolerances, fixtures, feeds/speeds, and cut depths
Set tools in chucks, collets, and posts; fixture parts using chucks, centers, tables, or dedicated fixtures
Execute multiple daily setups; establish startup dimensions and offsets for repeatable results
Operate conventional lathes, mills, and grinders, plus CNC lathes or vertical/horizontal machining centers
Edit CNC programs in partnership with programmers/engineering to drive continuous improvement
Monitor operations; verify quality using calibrated gauges; deburr using bench tools
Take on additional tasks as assigned
Qualification
Required
6–12 months of related machining experience/training, or equivalent education/experience
Preferred
Associate's degree from a two-year college/technical school preferred
