Responsibilities

With guidance design complex Circuit Card Assembly (CCA), including supporting system trades, developing hardware module requirements derived from system requirements, developing architectures, completing design, analysis, and testing in an engineering laboratory setting
Collaborate with multi-disciplinary team members of systems, hardware, and software engineers
Performs Printed Board Assembly (PBA) and box level requirements development, circuit design, design verification and qualification, spanning a high mix of moderately to high complexity commercial, defense, and space products and systems
Designs for modern processing technologies and architectures including micro-processors and FPGAs, flash memories, high speed physical communication and interconnects, and interfaces to motor control and sensors
Ensures designs are developed meeting aerospace industry standards
Utilizes design tools such as Mentor Graphics Design Tools, Altium Designer, Mathcad, MS Excel, and LTSpice for designing, simulating and analyzing in support of achieving design requirements
Generates Printed Wiring Board (PWB) layout constraint guidelines, oversee the layout and fabrication of the design

Required

Typically requires a bachelors degree in engineering or a related technical discipline from an accredited institution. May substitute equivalent engineering experience in lieu of education
Candidate should possess strong conceptual understanding of electronic hardware development, principles, and theory and demonstrate understanding of analog and digital concepts
The ability to understand new concepts and apply them accurately throughout an evolving environment
The ability to follow general and detailed instructions as well as organizational policies and procedures
Possess good communication and interpersonal skills to enable effective interface with internal professionals
The ability to work independently or in a team environment
Experience in Microsoft Office (word, excel, and power point.)
Ability to obtain and maintain a DOD Security Clearance is required
