Quality Engineer

Responsibilities

Lead Material Review Board (MRB) meetings; manage nonconforming hardware and implement corrective actions
Conduct root cause analysis and oversee CAPA for internal teams and suppliers
Inspect and verify hardware assemblies, wiring, plating, and mechanical components against engineering drawings, MIL-SPECs, and customer requirements
Support supplier quality audits, source inspections, and performance improvement initiatives
Participate in design and production readiness reviews to prevent manufacturing issues early
Apply Lean and Zero Defects methodologies to improve process capability and eliminate defects
Maintain quality documentation in compliance with AS9100, ISO9001, and customer standards

Required

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Manufacturing Engineering, or equivalent hands-on experience
3+ years of experience in aerospace/defense hardware quality engineering or electronics/mechanical manufacturing quality
Hands-on experience with MRB, CAPA, root cause analysis, and quality inspections
Strong understanding of AS9100 and ISO9001 quality management systems
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, MIL-SPECs, and customer requirements
Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
Must be a U.S. Person due to ITAR/EAR restrictions

Preferred

Experience with APQP, Zero Defects Planning, or Defense OEMs (NGC, Raytheon, Lockheed)
Familiarity with special processes: plating, painting, wiring, environmental testing
Proven ability to collaborate with suppliers and engage with customers on quality improvements
Knowledge of quality reporting and analytics tools
