ISSJ Joint Operations Center Analyst (JOCA) - Subject Matter Expert (SME)

MAG Aerospace is seeking a Joint Operations Center Analyst (JOCA) - Subject Matter Expert (SME) to support various intelligence disciplines and operational projects. The role involves processing messages, managing emergency systems, and providing operational analysis to inform decision-making and support mission planning.

Responsibilities

Process messages from the National Military Command Center and manage the Emergency Management Notification System (EMNS) for the enterprise
Utilizes expert knowledge from the Department of Defense operational plans and Special Operations Forces organization to support missions and communications planning and techniques and adhere to directives and practices governing the security management of a Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility and handling of classified material
Support SME level JOC operations, Command Center functions, AMHS messages, recall procedures and deployment processes
Use conclusions, inferences, and deep understanding to produce operational support products, drive battle rhythm events, collaborate with counterparts higher, adjacent, and subordinate organizations, inform current and future operations, and advise decision-makers
Serve as the lead interface between higher, adjacent, and subordinate organizations and technical experts with primary analytical responsibility over their assigned portfolios and may mentor/guide more junior operators
Subject matter expertise in proven analytical techniques and current analytical tools
Demonstrate expert proficiency in producing high-quality comprehensive technical and non-technical operational products (assessments, papers, presentations) and can prepare and present formal or informal briefings
Provide: planning, research, conduct, review, evaluation, and organization of operational analysis to support current or future operations
Support critical operational information reports, in addition to briefings and assessments based on their analysis, in the form of papers, presentations, and other media shall be required to both inform the command and to drive decision making
Possess the technical expertise to control and manipulate multi-media display systems and video teleconference systems to enable key leader meetings as required
Provide sensitive operational analysis and production in direct support of the planning and execution of current and future global special operations or other operations in support of higher headquarters priorities and the National Defense Strategy
Monitor ongoing operations and programs to ensure synchronization of Operations Center and warfighting efforts and take appropriate actions expeditiously to meet enterprise directed suspense

Required

At least eight (8) years of operational/Command and Control experience
At least five (5) years of experience working for or with Special Operations units, such as USSOCOM, USASOC, AFSOC, JSOC or other agencies
At least five (5) years of experience in JOC and Command Center Operations
At least five (5) years of experience preparing and delivering operational briefings at the Colonel to General (O-6 to O-8) level
Experience with interagency concepts and principles, Department of Defense military command and control operations, geographical areas of responsibility
Experience and knowledge of Common Operational Picture (COP) Tools to maintain continuous JOC displays and facilitate key operational meetings
Experience writing AMHS messages and releasing as required dealing with other Government agencies, Department of State, Combatant Commands and USSOCOM
SME experience using standard commercial software applications and web browsers (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite, SharePoint, Mozilla Firefox, etc.)
Be deployable for up to 90 days per year on a recurring basis, not to exceed 179 days in a one-year period
Clearance Required: An Active DoD TS/SCI
