Responsibilities
Performs evaluations, repairs, inspections, and preventive maintenance on devices used in the care and treatment of patients at UHS facilities
Meets all established key performance indicator (KPI) requirements
Qualification
Required
An associates degree in Biomedical Engineering Technology, or degree in electronic engineering technology, or military/technical training, or equivalent work experience, or biomedical related certification
One year minimum of experience working in hospital biomedical/Clinical Engineering department required
Understanding of regulatory requirements of medical devices (CMS, TJC, CLIA, AABB, NRC, State, Local)
Must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care/service appropriate to the age of the patient
Preferred
Three to five years of experience preferred
Professional Certification preferred (CBET, CRES, CLES, CABT, CHTM, PMP, AWS-CSAA, CISSP, CAN, MLT, CRCST and/or other professional certifications as deemed pertinent by the hiring director
