CRM Lead

Runna is a rapidly growing company focused on building the leading training platform for runners. They are seeking a CRM Acquisition Lead to manage customer communications and drive conversion and retention through lifecycle marketing, working closely with Strava's marketing team to enhance user experience and engagement.

Responsibilities

Build and manage complex customer journeys and automations across both Strava and Runna in our ESP, Iterable, using Email, Push notifications and In-app messages to engage and retain our runners
Set out your own A/B testing schedule - continuously testing content, creative, and journey optimisations to drive better results and hit key team and business goals
Own your campaign reporting, providing clear insights and recommendations to help the team (and wider business) understand CRM’s impact on core KPIs
Explore new tools and technologies, identifying ways to enhance our CRM tech stack and keep us at the cutting edge
Manage and optimise our AI-powered CRM platform (Aampe), sharing key learnings with internal stakeholders and feeding insights back into our broader CRM strategy

Required

4+ years of CRM experience — ideally in a B2C app environment, where you've managed campaigns and automations across Email, Push Notifications and In-app Messages
Hands-on experience with marketing platforms like Iterable, Braze, HubSpot or similar ESPs — including building workflows, managing segmentation, and automating campaigns
Comfort owning end-to-end campaigns, from creative brainstorming to building in-platform, scheduling, and reporting
A strong understanding of segmentation strategies and A/B testing best practices, with experience setting up always-on lifecycle automations
Experience using product analytics tools (like Mixpanel) to analyse performance and uncover actionable insights

Preferred

Have basic HTML/CSS skills to tweak email and in-app message designs
Know your way around email deliverability best practices — like inbox placement, sender reputation and reducing spam risk
Have a passion for running, fitness or sport (but no worries if you're just starting your running journey — we love beginners too!)
Have experience working with AI-driven CRM platforms like Aampe
