Technical Business Analyst
TriCom Technical Services is seeking a Technical Business Analyst to support their Employee Benefits business by transforming benefits, enrollment, and client data into meaningful insights. This role involves analyzing benefits data, enhancing reporting capabilities, and supporting solution design across the benefits technology ecosystem.
Responsibilities
Conduct technical analysis of benefits data (client, claims, enrollment, program data) to identify trends and opportunities
Build, maintain, and optimize Power BI dashboards and data models for stakeholders and client-facing reporting
Translate business requirements into clear technical specifications, user stories, and acceptance criteria
Conduct data validation, root-cause analysis, and quality checks to ensure reporting accuracy
Partner with consultants to support reporting needs for client renewals and strategy development
Qualification
Required
2-4 years of experience in a data, business, or technical analyst role
Proficiency in Power BI (data modeling, visual design)
Ability to translate business questions into analytical insights and actionable recommendations
Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and ability to work effectively in an Agile environment
Preferred
Experience within the Benefits or Insurance industries
Familiarity with benefits concepts (medical, dental, pharmacy, plan design, enrollment data)
