Business & Corporate Development Manager
Delta Dental of Arizona is the state’s #1 dental and vision insurance company, seeking a Manager for Business & Corporate Development to support its strategic growth and expansion goals. This role involves sourcing, evaluating, and advancing business opportunities while managing deal flow and contributing to transaction execution and strategic decision-making.

Responsibilities
Identify, source, and screen growth opportunities aligned with Delta Dental of Arizona’s strategic priorities
Conduct initial assessments of potential acquisitions, partnerships, joint ventures, and market entry opportunities
Develop financial models and perform valuation and scenario analyses to support opportunity evaluation, deal structuring and investment decisions
Assess strategic fit, financial impact, and risk considerations for proposed opportunities
Prepare investment materials, business cases, and presentations for senior leadership and Board-level review
Support deal structuring analysis, including economics, risks, and strategic implications
Monitor industry trends, competitive activity, regulatory developments, and market dynamics
Synthesize insights and share relevant intelligence with internal stakeholders to inform strategy and opportunity prioritization
Manage assigned opportunities through the business and corporate development lifecycle, from evaluation through diligence coordination and recommendation
Support transaction execution activities, including diligence planning, analysis, and coordination with internal and external stakeholders
Manage and update the business and corporate development pipeline, ensuring clear prioritization, visibility, and tracking of opportunities
Prepare regular pipeline reports and updates for senior leadership, including key risks, milestones, and strategic considerations
Support contract negotiations by preparing analyses, summaries, and diligence findings related to proposed transactions
Collaborate with Legal and Finance teams on transaction-related documentation and approvals
Work closely with Commercial Growth, Strategy, Marketing, Finance, Legal, IT and other functional teams to ensure alignment between development opportunities and organizational objectives
Effectively influence and coordinate cross-functional teams and stakeholders without direct reporting authority to advance opportunities and meet deadlines
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in business, finance, economics, or related field required
Minimum of 5-7+ years in business development, corporate development, strategy, M&A or related roles
Demonstrated experience in strategic analysis, financial modeling and deal valuation, and project management
Strong understanding of business strategy, market assessment, and transaction fundamentals
Solid financial modeling and analytical skills, including valuation, ROI analysis, and scenario planning
Ability to interpret and synthesize market, financial, and operational data into clear business cases
Strong stakeholder management and collaboration skills across cross-functional teams
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with experience preparing materials for senior leadership
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite required
