Responsibilities
The Civil EIT designs various types of projects in our Anchorage, Alaska office for public and private sector clients
This is a hands-on engineering design position in RESPEC’s Transportation Market Sector and will include working on variety of multidiscipline design and construction projects
Qualification
Required
B.S. in Civil Engineering from an accredited institution
Engineer-in-Training or the ability to obtain within one year
Autodesk AutoCAD & Civil 3D proficiency
Solid knowledge of computer programs such as Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Teams
Self-motivated, energetic, and able to take on new tasks
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team
Detail oriented & well organized with demonstrated ability to meet deadlines
Strong verbal & written communication skills
Must possess a valid driver's license and maintain a clean driving record; position requires operating a company or personal vehicle during work hours for business-related travel
Preferred
Experience in construction
Knowledge of Civil3D modeling (corridors, grading, pipe models, etc.), quantities, calculations, and cost estimating is a plus
Experience in preparing design drawings and design calculations for utility, site and roadway improvement projects
