New Grad, Entry LevelMain Line Health is seeking a Clinical Data Abstractor for a remote position. The role involves clinical data abstraction of medical records and collaboration on updates to abstraction guidelines, utilizing strong analytical skills to interpret data from multiple sources.

Responsibilities
Responsible for the clinical data abstraction of medical records retrospectively, using the CMS/Joint Commission clinical specification guidelines
Clinical abstraction of open heart charts are also required by the PHC4 mandate utilizing the PHC4 Cardiac Surgery clinical abstraction guidelines
Use your strong analytical skills to interpret data from multiple sources
Collaborate on a local and national level by attending system meetings, conferences, web conferences, and any other educational seminars offered regarding updates and changes to the Specifications Manual for National Hospital Inpatient Quality Measures and Outpatient Specifications Manual in order to stay current with abstraction guidelines
Qualification
Required
Experience with medical terminology required
RN, LPN, RHIT, RHIA, where applicable
Preferred
TJC/CMS Core Measure clinical data abstraction/entry or Performance Improvement preferred
RN strongly preferred
Graduate from a health management program preferred
pursuing a degree in a related health or medical program preferred
