Responsibilities
Accountable for project initiation, planning, execution, monitoring and closure for a portfolio of Early Oncology Translational Medicine projects
Manage interdependencies between projects and aligned resources
Maintain project trackers and related documentation including project schedules, RAID logs, dashboards and reports using Smartsheet, Confluence, PowerBI and Sharepoint
Develop meeting agendas, facilitate meetings, distribute meeting notes, and manage actions
Manage changes to project scope, ensuring that all changes are approved and appropriately communicated to stakeholders
Maintain relationships with scientific and business stakeholders to ensure the effective capturing of business requirements and commitment to project/program objectives
Drive effective risks & issues management, ensuring the appropriate processes are effectively used. Ensure problems are resolved and escalate as appropriate
Coordinate with financial and budget management teams to ensure alignment
Manage project and portfolio insights using business analytics tools
Accountable for the management of sample arrival, processing and data delivery
Qualification
Required
Advanced Degree: PhD (preferred) in molecular biology, cell biology, bioinformatics, computational biology, or related field. Master's with significant experience (10+ years) may be considered
Technical Orientation: Ability to understand and quickly onboard to complex, technical, and jargon-heavy work environments
Laboratory Experience: Hands-on lab work experience, preferably in genomics or genetics; pathology or proteomics experience is also relevant
Clinical Trial Understanding: Ability to comprehend clinical trial design and technical implementation needs
Proactive and Organized: Comfortable with ambiguity, managing multiple priorities, being proactive, and highly organized
Operational Skills: Day-to-day operations including interfacing with engineering, laboratory, procurement, and compliance teams
Stakeholder Management: Ability to set up technical calls, manage meetings, agendas, expectations, and document outcomes
Project Documentation: Experience documenting technical project details and distributing process information efficiently
Preferred
Experience with Project & Portfolio Management Tools: Smartsheet, MS Project, or equivalent systems
Familiarity with Confluence: Willingness to learn Atlassian's Confluence for requirement capturing
Power BI: Experience with business analytics and dashboarding using Power BI
SharePoint: Familiarity with permissioning and documentation tasks in SharePoint
Experience with Next Generation Sequencing: Direct work with sequencing technologies (like human genome sequencing) is especially valuable
Previous Experience in Similar Technical Environments: Roles that required integrating scientific strategy with technical/operational implementation
