Responsibilities
Cloud Architecture Design: Develop, maintain, and document comprehensive Azure cloud architecture strategies, ensuring scalability, reliability, and security
Solution Implementation: Lead the deployment and configuration of Azure-based solutions, including virtual networks, virtual machines, containers, storage, and application services
Migration Planning: Design and execute migration plans for transitioning legacy systems and applications to Azure, minimizing downtime and disruption
Security and Compliance: Implement robust security measures to protect data and ensure compliance with relevant standards and regulations (e.g., ISO 27001, GDPR)
Performance Optimization: Monitor and optimize the performance, reliability, and cost-efficiency of Azure resources
Collaboration: Work closely with developers, DevOps teams, and IT leadership to align Azure implementations with project requirements and organizational objectives
Automation and Scripting: Develop scripts for resource provisioning, configuration management, and deployment using tools like PowerShell, Terraform, or Azure CLI
Disaster Recovery: Design and implement backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity solutions within Azure
Documentation: Create and maintain detailed documentation of architectures, configurations, and processes to support ongoing maintenance and scalability
Training and Mentorship: Provide guidance and training to internal teams on Azure best practices and new developments
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree or the equivalent work experience and/or military experience
7+ years of IT experience with at least 3 years focused on Azure cloud architecture and solutions
Proven experience in cloud migration and modernization projects
Strong background in infrastructure design, networking, and security
Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert (required)
Proficiency in Azure services such as Azure AD, Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), Azure Functions, Azure SQL, and Azure DevOps
Strong scripting skills with PowerShell, Python, or similar tools
Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform, Bicep, or ARM templates
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps principles
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
Strong communication and collaboration abilities
